Ronaldo scored a brace in Al Nassr’s last game.

When they play Damac at Al-Awwal Park on Friday, Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al Nassr will be hoping to get back to winning ways in the Saudi Professional League.

At the Al Bayt Stadium on Monday, Al Nassr easily defeated Qatar-based Al Gharafa 3-1, continuing their impressive run of success in the AFC Champions League.

Al-Nassr have won all four of their Champions League games after opening the season with a rather disappointing 1-1 draw against Iranian team Al Shorta on September 16. During that time, they have scored 11 goals and given up three goals.

Even though Stefano Pioli’s team is now sitting third in the standings and riding high in the Champions League, they will now shift their attention to the Professional League, where they have had difficulty producing results lately, winning just one of their last four games.

Al Nassr will have to avoid any further defeats if they are to challenge for the title this season, their previous defeat in the league has now created a big gap between them and first-place Al Ittihad. They are currently eight points behind first place.

Players will have to put in a convincing performance with every league match will now be crucial, the spotlight will be on Ronaldo to once again lead the line when they host Damac.
