Los Blancos will be counting on Mbappe to overturn the deficit in second-leg.

When Real Madrid host Arsenal tonight, fans will hope all the players to turn up and a great deal of pressure will be on one of the star players, Kylian Mbappe to help achieve the impossible.

Even though the 15-time European Cup champions lost the first leg at the Emirates last week 3-0, Los Blancos now have the renowned Bernabeu factor working in their favour.

When Kylian Mbappe was sent off in the league over the weekend, Real Madrid supporters probably fretted, but his Champions League outings were unaffected.

Will Kylian Mbappe play tonight?

Mbappe is fit and was also spotted in team training and looks set to start tonight. He will have a massive burden on him to drive his club to a historic comeback when they host the Gunners.

Madrid have a chance to accomplish what seems like an almost unattainable goal, but the addition of the French superstar gives the club an explosive edge in attack as well as hopes of a comeback.

As he made his way to the squad bus last Tuesday after Arsenal’s incredible triumph at the Emirates, Mbappe was asked if he believed it was possible to overturn the deficit in Bernabeu. He simply responded, “Of course we can.”

Mbappe has now surpassed Madrid’s all-time top goal scorer, Cristiano Ronaldo’s debut season total, with 33 goals in 49 games across all competitions this season.

However, he is currently enduring a short dry spell as he has not found the back of the net in the last four matches. But the second-leg tie provides the former Paris Saint-Germain player with a great chance to show why Madrid have been pursuing him over the years.

Mbappe has done it in the past and will once be motivated to do it again when Madrid hosts Arsenal tonight and all eyes will be on the Frenchman to ignite comeback hopes and spearhead the club to the semi-final.
