The Brazilian is nearing a move to Santos.
Two top clubs will square off when Al Qadisiyah host league toppers Al-Hilal in the game week 17 of the Saudi Pro League at the Prince Mohamed bin Fahd Stadium today.
Jorge Jesus’s side are first in the table but are equal on points to the second place Al-Ittihad. The latter will hope that their rival suffers a setback which will see them reclaim the first spot again.
This match could be difficult for the visitors, even though Al-Hilal have lived up to expectations this season. They will be playing under pressure and Al Qadisiyah will be looking to give all sorts of problems to the visitors in the match.
However, the Blue Waves have been great in the away matches, winning six of their eight encounters on the road, and the form book surely favours them to score a seventh win on the run.
The players have been exceptional with their performances this season as they hope to lead the team to a second title in a row this season. Aleksandar Mitrović has been in hot form for Al-Hilal scoring 12 goals in 13 league matches this season.
However, many fans would be desperate to see Neymar, who was acquired for a big sum but so far has barely made many appearances.
Will Neymar play tonight?
Neymar’s time at Al-Hilal soon could be over as the Brazilian forward is nearing a return to his childhood club Santos. Earlier team’s head coach also revealed that the former PSG player won’t be registered for the league matches for the remainder of the season which further outlines that his future doesn’t lie here. He won’t be playing tonight in short.
However, Neymar can play in the AFC Champions League Elite. But Al-Hilal are prepared to end his contract with mutual consent. The specifics are still being worked out. In an attempt to come to an agreement, the two parties are scheduled to meet early this week. Furthermore, Neymar is expected to sign a six-month contract with Santos with the possibility of a one-year extension.
