Will Trent Alexander-Arnold & Dean Huijsen make their Real Madrid debut tonight vs Al Hilal in Club World Cup?

Both players joined Los Blancos ahead of the FIFA Club World Cup.
When Real Madrid play Al Hilal at Hard Rock Stadium tonight, will their new acquisitions be on full show as the Los Blancos look to start their FIFA Club World Cup 2025 campaign with a win under new manager Xabi Alonso?
Los Blancos are in Group H, which also features Pachuca and RB Salzburg. They are the clear favourites to top the group and secure their place in the next round, given the richness of their squad.
There are a few new faces in the squad ahead of the game. New signings such as Trent Alexander-Arnold and Dean Huijsen will be hoping to start for the club.
Will Trent Alexander-Arnold and Dean Huijsen make their debut tonight for Real Madrid?
The first glimpse of Madrid under Xabi Alonso is almost here. After the 2024–25 season ended without a major prize, the world’s largest club were quite busy early on in the summer.
As they await their Madrid debut, Xabi Alonso is excited to be coaching Trent Alexander-Arnold and Dean Huijsen. After a fruitful stint at Bayer Leverkusen, Alonso succeeded Carlo Ancelotti at Madrid in late May.
Trent was signed a month earlier, before the end of his Liverpool contract for €10 million, while Huijsen was the first actual transfer fee involved acquisition of Alonso’s time. Madrid paid £50 million to get the centre-back from AFC Bournemouth.
Huijsen and Alexander-Arnold will make their debuts for Los Blancos tonight when they play Al-Hilal of Saudi Arabia in their first Club World Cup match. Huijsen said he is excited to play for Alonso.
After Carlo Ancelotti was fired, Alonso took over as manager. Los Blancos then went on to sign Alexander-Arnold, Huijsen, and Franco Mastantuono.
Huijsen and Alexander-Arnold will play their first games for Madrid in the enlarged competition. The two defensive upgrades give the club’s backline, which is still missing injured players such as Antonio Rüdiger, Ferland Mendy, Dani Carvajal, and Éder Militão, the necessary versatility and experience.
