Wydad AC FIFA Club World Cup 2025 squad: Mohamed Rayhi & Cassius Mailula included

The Moroccan club will face the likes of Man City and Juventus.
Wydad AC have confirmed their squad for the upcoming grand event in the United States as they equip themselves to face two of the top sides in the competition.
Wydad AC qualified for the Club World Cup by winning the 2022 CAF Champions League, making them one of four African teams participating.
Wydad will be looking to make history in the Club World Cup. They have nothing to lose in the tournament and will look to cause a big upset when they play big teams in the group stage games.
They come to the competition this summer after a challenging season. Rhulani Mokwena, the team’s former coach, joined in the 2024 summer but was fired in April 2025 following a six-game losing streak.
Mohamed Amine Benhachem, who took his place, helped the team finish in the top three and finished the season with three straight victories.
However, the season was disappointing overall, as they ended 16 points behind RS Berkane, the champions of the title. They also lost in the group stage of the CAF Champions League.
Meanwhile, Wydad AC enter the CWC tournament fresh off close 1-0 friendly losses to FC Porto and Sevilla. Both performances showcased their strong points, but it should be difficult to create a serious threat against Manchester City and Juventus in Group G.
They will kick off the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 against Manchester City on 18th June. Four days later, they will face another top side, Juventus. Their group stage will come to an end against Al Ain as both sides will take on each other on 26th June.
