Zimbabwe announce squad for 2026 Four Nations Tournament; Marshall Munetsi left out

The Warriors will participate in the competition along with Zambia, Malawi, and Botswana.
Marshall Munetsi, the Warriors’ star midfielder, has once again been left off Zimbabwe’s squad. This time for this month’s international break.
Munetsi, who has scored three goals in three straight games at Paris FC in Ligue 1, is now having a nice run. Before missing the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, the midfield player last played for the Zimbabwean national team late last year.
Munetsi was anticipated to rejoin the team given his current form. But Warriors coach Marian Marinica has once again disregarded him.
Jordan Zemura of Udinese Calcio, Tawanda Chirewa of Barnsley, and Brendan Galloway of Plymouth Argyle are among the other prominent absences due to injuries. Meanwhile, three players have received their first call-ups from Marinica, and two more are rejoining the national team after being absent from prior squads.
Zimbabwe will compete in an invitational four-nation competition alongside the national football teams of Zambia, Malawi, and Botswana. Obed Itani Chilume Stadium will host the competition from March 23 to 31.
