Zinedine Zidane could return to manage Real Madrid again: Report

The Frenchman is currently unemployed as Los Blancos look for a new head coach.
Following Xabi Alonso’s surprising decision to stay at Bayer Leverkusen, Real Madrid are reportedly once again contemplating Zinedine Zidane as their next head coach, according to a report from Fichajes.
The Spanish team had been keeping a careful eye on Alonso because they thought he would be the best candidate to take over as manager the following season.
But now that he has committed to staying in charge of the Bundesliga team, Madrid must look for other alternatives. Zidane, who has a long history with the team as a manager and former player, is once again vying for the position.
Because of his outstanding work at Leverkusen, Alonso’s reputation has skyrocketed in recent months. He was a strong contender for Real Madrid because of his tactical acumen and capacity to assemble a competitive team.
But Madrid have had to change their focus because he decided to stay in Germany. In light of the situation, Zidane seems to be the best option.
He has a good relationship with the board, is familiar with the club’s organizational structure, and has already had great success at the Santiago Bernabeu. It makes sense for him to assume managerial duties once more given his prior experiences.
The time Zidane spent at Real Madrid in the past was very exceptional. The team won numerous domestic and international medals under his direction, including three straight Champions League titles.
Madrid’s success during his tenure was largely due to his ability to manage a team full of elite players and keep a winning mindset.
His return has always been a real possibility, even though he has stepped away from management in recent years.
Real Madrid will have to make a definitive decision in the upcoming months as the season goes on. Although no deal has been struck yet, talks may soon pick up speed as Zidane’s return becomes a more plausible scenario.
