Yan Law will donate his entire salary earned as the coach of Nepal Super League (NSL) club Biratnagar City FC towards the COVID-19 relief efforts in India and Nepal. It was the former Aizawl FC and Mohammedan Sporting Club coach himself who announced the decision via social media.

"I have decided to donate all my salary that I earned in the Nepal Super League from Biratnagar City FC towards COVID Relief in India and Nepal equally. Long live the beautiful nations," he wrote on Twitter on Thursday.

Both countries affected badly by COVID-19 second wave

Both India and Nepal are among the worst-hit countries by the second wave of the coronavirus pandemic. India has been struggling to tackle the second wave of the pandemic. Nepal, on the other hand, has reported the presence of a third variant in the country.

On Thursday, more than 8000 new cases were detected in Nepal. A crumbling healthcare system and lack of adequate oxygen supplies have affected both countries. Law joined Biratnagar City earlier this year after parting ways with Aizawl FC. He led the Nepalese club to a sixth-place finish in the Nepal Super League.
