Max Verstappen won the previous edition of the Grand Prix.
The 2023 F1 season is almost halfway through, and the next event on the calendar is the highly anticipated Hungarian GP 2023, renowned for its high-speed and tight circuit. And although this season has been dominated by Red Bull, Silverstone proved that other teams like McLaren are catching up. Therefore, as fans eagerly await the Hungarian GP 2023, let’s take a closer look at the updated schedule for the Hungarian Grand Prix.
Looking back at last year, it was Max Verstappen’s day of triumph as, despite starting from P10, he managed to secure a thrilling victory after an exhilarating battle with Lewis Hamilton and George Russell of Mercedes, who finished second and third, respectively.
Fast forward to 2023, and it seems like Max Verstappen is poised for another dominant performance. This is because the Dutchman has redefined what it means to be a champion, amassing a staggering 99-point lead in the Driver's World Championship. And although the RB 19 might not be the ideal fit for the Hungarian circuit, Red Bull is reportedly introducing significant upgrades to the car.
However, his teammate Sergio Perez hasn’t had the best outings this season and has failed to make it into Q3 in the last few races. Moreover, with Daniel Ricciardo joining AlphaTauri as a mid-season replacement, the pressure is on Perez to deliver, starting from Hungarian GP 2023.
