Backend Technology revealed for EA Sports FC 24
The game is set to introduce revolutionary technology that will elevate the experience of gamers by an extreme amount.
EA Sports FC 24 is right around the corner. Ahead of its worldwide 29 September 2023 release on all major platforms, the video game publisher, Electronic Arts, is busy introducing all of the cutting-edge technology that works in the background to make the gaming experience immersive for the user.
Electronic Arts were massively successful with its FIFA line of games. However, the video game publishers will be focusing on FC 24 henceforth after a contractual disagreement with FIFA, preventing them to continue their FIFA-titled games beyond FIFA 23. To that end, EA Sports is pulling out all stops to woo its million-strong fanbase with the introduction of top-end technology in FC 24 as it prepares to compete in a highly competitive gaming industry.
In order to introduce the backend technology that makes everything tick in EA Sports FC 24, EA released a gameplay deep dive video that strives to line out what they have in store for the gamers. Here is a look at the backend technology that will make EA FC 24 a next-gen football gaming masterpiece:
HyperMotion V
HyperMotion V technology from Electronic Arts works on the data which is collected from over 180 professional matches across major tournaments such as the UEFA Champions League and more. This enables the developers to make the gameplay realistic owing to the data captured by cameras in stadiums.
The Volumetric Capture Technology, as it is called, captures player movements and styles directly instead of relying on motion capture technology. This will not only make player movements realistic but also make passing, tackling, shooting, etc, more realistic and immersive. A slew of never before seen animations will make FC 24 a truly authentic experience for gamers.
For instance, from having over a dozen running styles in previous games, FC 24 is set to have more than twelve hundred running styles in it which is simply incredible.
PlayStyles
PlayStyles is the second of the three essential techs that makes EA FC 24 a truly unique experience. It strives to mimic key characteristics that football players showcase on the field, such as the whipping cross by Trent Alexander-Arnold or the inward curling cross by Kevin De Bruyne or Vinicius Jr taking on defenders.
PlayStyles define the uniqueness of every player in FC 24. It is divided into two tiers - PlayStyles and PlayStyles +. While the former is about signature abilities that make players unique in their behaviour, the latter is an elevated version that takes these abilities to truly world-class levels, making players truly unique and authentic.
Real-time data is used to power PlayStyles, mimicking real-life football to make FC 24 even more realistic. A stop-ball tackle playstyle in defence and a dead ball + playstyle in free-kick situations will give huge boosts to gamers. There are over 34 different PlayStyles to explore in the upcoming game.
Frostbite
The revolutionised Frostbite engine makes looking at EA FC 24 a delight. Frostbite is a gaming engine that makes the game realistic and gives the developers tools to make their video games truly stand out. EA introduced the engine for the first time in FIFA 17 which was a game changer, giving it the edge over their competitors.
The Frostbite engine in FC 24 makes player faces, their jerseys, the pitch, the stadiums, the anatomical bodies of players and more extremely realistic and accurate. How the fabric behaves with the movement of the players is something that the Frostbite engine directs and strives to make the gaming experience as real as possible.
