BGMI Masters Series Season 2: Launch week Day 1 Report, Scoreboard

Exciting beginnings at BGMS Season 2’s Launch Week as day one unfolds on August 4th.
The Launch Week of BGMI Masters Series 2023 took its kicked-off on the 4th of August, with 24 teams being equally divided into 3 groups of 8 teams each. The games are being held in a Round-Robin format, and the points accumulated during this week are added to the overall leaderboard.
On the first day, three matches were held between Group A and Group B getting more matches whereas Group C only got a single match to showcase their performance, However, Group C will be getting their turns in tonight’s matches.
Match 1- Erangel -Group A and Group B
In the opening encounter of the BGMI Masters Series, Revenant Esports, led by Apollo, secured victory with an impressive 12 points. OR Esports showcased their prowess, amassing an outstanding 22 points. XSpark had a remarkable start, earning 22 points with an impressive tally of 12 kills. Chemin secured 10 points, while Enigma and Blind achieved eight points each. Jonathan from GodLike delivered an exceptional performance and was crowned the MVP with four eliminations.
Match 2 – Sanhok – Group A and B
GodLike Esports dominated the season, claiming their first Chicken Dinner with an impressive 27 points. Spower, their talented young player, shone as the MVP with six outstanding finishes. Enigma Gaming and OR Esports showed promise, each securing 16 points. Meanwhile, Blind Esports and Orangutan both garnered 10 points. Unfortunately, Team Xspark struggled, bowing out early with just one point.
Match 3 – Miramar – Group A and C
In their debut match, Team Soul began their campaign with a bang, claiming victory with an impressive 28 points. They showcased their skills in the final fight, outclassing Velocity Gaming, who earned 22 points. Meanwhile, 8Bit and Gladiators secured 14 and 11 points, respectively. Under the leadership of Ninja, Gods Reign managed to gain nine points. Wrapping up the BGMS Day 1, GodLike also secured nine points in their last encounter.
Overall Ranking for Launch Week Day 1
GodLike Esports took the top spot with 39 points, followed by OR Esports (38 points) and Revenant (33 points). Velocity Gaming claimed fourth place with 29 points.
Team Soul impressed with 28 points, while Team 8Bit and Enigma closely followed with 28 and 24 points. Blind and Orangutan secured 10th and 12th places, but True Rippers struggled with only four points.
The first day ended with thrilling clashes, and even the rivalry between Team Soul and Godlike Esports added to the excitement of the Masters Series 2023. After Godlike Esports lost the match against their rivals, Jonathan commented on a lighter note, “That could have been our chicken dinner. We could have won it easily, but it’s fine; we gave them some points as a gift.”
