Mundfish Studios were really cooking at Summer Game Fest 2025 as they not only revealed Atomic Heart 2 new trailer, but also revealed an MMORPG set in the Atomic Heart universe, The Cube.

This announcement comes just days after the studio celebrated Atomic Heart’s 10 millionth player, and it has fans excited about the return of the retro-futuristic world.

For me, the Atomic Heart 2 trailer was like a movie and instantly hooked me to the franchise. I have never played the first game of this franchise, but now I am itching to play.

Atomic Heart created waves with its unusual storyline and gorgeous visuals, and its Game Pass debut certainly contributed to its enormous player base.

Though challenging—especially with its difficult boss battles—the game’s popularity was clear, paving the way for a sequel.

Rumors about Atomic Heart 2’s development began as early as October 2024, and Mundfish has now verified those rumors with an official statement.

This new trailer for the sequel was amazing, showcasing retro futuristic vibes with FPS open world RPG-type elements.

You got crazy looking visuals, graphics, amazing FPS gunplay, beautiful woman, chaos going around, robots, etc.

This wasn’t the only thing that Mundfish Studios were cooking as they also revealed The Cube, which is an MMORPG set in the Atomic Heart universe.

The trailer shows us how a mysterious giant cube appears in the sky, creating the battlefield that players will explore and face off against each other on.

Both games are in development and no release date has been revealed yet. Atomic Heart 2 and The Cube will be available on Consoles and PC.
