After so much anticipation and wait, Larian Studios has finally announced the release date for Baldur’s Gate 3 Patch 8. This was announced all the way back in November 2024.

The latest patch update will be available on every platform and will arrive on April 15, 2025. Crossplay, a photo mode, etc, are what we can expect in this patch.

Baldur’s Gate 3 Patch 8 release date and timings

It is now official and confirmed that Baldur’s Gate 3 Patch 8 will release on April 15, 2025, at 1:00 PM UTC (6:30 PM IST).

Since its release, the game has been a juggernaut of success and even won the Game of the Year award.

Larian Studios has also been very disciplined when providing new content and updates for the fans. They even allowed the mod function as well.

Main highlights for Patch 8

• Crossplay: Enjoy smooth multiplayer support when playing with pals on PC, PS5, and Xbox.
• Photo Mode: With filters, poses, and customizable settings, this fully functional photo mode allows you to document your exploits in Faerûn.
• As hinted at in Larian’s December 2024 community update, there will be 12 new subclasses—one for each class—including the College of Glamour Bard and Path of the Zealot Barbarian.
• Better Modding Tools: The in-game Mod Manager now offers official mod support with enhanced stability and additional modding features.

There are also some hints by the studio that a sale might be available on Steam, PlayStation and Xbox Store when the Baldur’s Gate 3 Patch 8 goes live.

Rumors and leaks were revealed in November and in January 2025, the new patch was finally confirmed.

Now, it is all ready to go live, providing fans with some new subclasses to enjoy the adventure along with crossplay and photo mode.
