Call of Duty Black Ops 7 campaign will not have difficulty option; says Treyarch creative director

This is due to the co-op mode for the campaign
It appears that Call of Duty Black Ops 7 is really changing its approach with the campaign and it’s all thanks to the four-player co-op campaign.
Officially revealed by Treyarch associate creative director, Miles Leslie, in an IGN interview, the game is set to drop the difficulty option from the campaign.
Why no difficulty options in Call of Duty Black Ops 7?
Instead of allowing players to select their challenge level, Black Ops 7 scales difficulty according to the number of players.
Here’s what Miles Leslie has to say about the campaign and difficulty option:
“For the difficulty, it’s baked in. We’ve built it for solo or four-player squads as well. You cannot pick a difficulty like past games. We’ve baked it in because you have to approach a co-op campaign differently, and we wanted to make sure the missions felt right for solo players — we’re not forgetting about you, we love you — but also because it is a social experience we want to make sure it’s fun, but the right amount of challenging for two, three, and four players as well.”

What to expect more?
The campaign will be tied into progression, which will also include the battle pass unlocks. For now, it’s unclear whether co-op boosts XP or offers extra perks.
No friends? No problem—matchmaking is accessible for solo players looking to pair up. Furthermore, a new 32-player PvE endgame mode, evocative classic extraction shooters, increases replayability.
There is also a multiplayer mode featuring 18 maps and a return to round-based Zombies, alongside the beloved Dead Ops Arcade.
Final Thoughts
There is a lot of hate going around for Call of Duty Black Ops 7 and everyone is comparing this to Battlefield 6, which is looking much better than Black Ops 7.
No difficulty option and an interesting campaign might be something that can excite the fans. However, only time will tell whether Black Ops 7 will be a hit or you average game this time.
