During a recent Slayers Club livestream, Hugo Martin described the DLC expansion as “massive” and “ginormous.” He even said this expansion may feel like a sequel, providing a good amount of new content in the game.
He has also teased some new features in the upcoming expansion. The first one is the brand-new spear weapon, which may include a dashing ability.
With this, we may expect some more mobility and aggressive-based combat in the expansion. Another feature is the return of quickswapping. This is loved by DOOM Eternal fans.
This won’t be available from the start; instead, players have to unlock this feature surprisingly. Also, this DLC will be nothing like the base game, indicating that this might have a high skill ceiling and difficulties.
