What to expect from the new competitive mode

Many fans are already enjoying the nostalgic setting of Fortnite OG which has been brought back by the Epic Games. After a week of revisiting the classic Chapter 1 map, the community have expressed their desire for a more competitive setting.

So now, Epic Games is going to introduce an OG-ranked mode in the game very soon. Let’s check out more details in this article.

Release date and what to expect from Fortnite OG ranked mode

The Fortnite OG ranked mode is all set to start on December 16, 2024. There is a good chance that you won’t find the bots from now on as your rank progresses.

This mode aims to improve the OG experience by allowing users to participate in a structured, ranked setting, similar to Fortnite’s existing Ranked mode, which will replace Arena in 2023.

Ranks in Fortnite OG

Just like any competitive game, this mode will also have its rank system:

  • Bronze
  • Silver
  • Gold
  • Platinum
  • Diamond
  • Elite
  • Champion
  • Unreal

Everyone will start from bronze and then they have to slowly climb their way to the top of the ladder in the rank system. And, with the OG mode now set in Chapter 1, Season 1, expect the ranks to reset when the game moves on to Season 2 at the end of January 2025.

This will provide a more competitive scenario in this mode where everyone will take their battles seriously in the Fortnite OG.
