The all-new mini Fortnite Simpsons season is going absolutely wild among the fans and players. This collaboration is one of the best that Epic Games has done this year.

There is also the chaotic nuclear power plant collapse and meltdown event. By solving the puzzle, players can get rare loot like mythic weapons or shields to carry by the end of the game. Let’s check out everything you need to know in this article.

When does Nuclear Power Plant Meltdown kick off in Fortnite Simpsons season?

First, players can go to the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant (northeast map edge, near the cooling towers). Now, just peek at the wall to the left of the main entrance. If a safety code poster is up (three glowing symbols), then the Meltdown is coming.

The reactor flips out seconds before the third Storm Circle closes, coloring the skies green and leaving a reactor icon on your mini-map.

Players can land at the hot spot for loot & chests; however, beware of third parties, as they will also be attracted.

How to solve the Power Plant Puzzle?

Players have a tight 260-second window (about 4 minutes) to avoid this disaster. Here’s how to do it:

• Rush the console: Dash to the lowest level of the top-left building within the facility. Use Shockwaves or a vehicle to get past guards or players.
• Hunt the Code: Take pictures or remember the three symbols from two locations: Main location: Wall to the left of the plant’s entrance (your early check).
• Backup: The left side of the top-right building’s exterior.
• These correspond to the console’s buttons: Red (left), yellow (middle), and blue (right).
• Input and Win: Use the illuminated console to enter the symbols in the correct order (for example, Red-Yellow-Blue). A brief animation seals the deal by producing loot crates throughout the room.
• Grab and Ghost: Collect shields, gold, and possibly a Simpsons legendary (such as a radiation AR). Evacuate quickly since the plant has become a hotspot.

If you somehow miss the code, you can also retry for the next drop. This puzzle has low risk and rewards 30k XP per complete, plus some gears to clutch the Champs.
