Game of Thrones Kingsroad early access: Everything you need to know

Winter is arriving in the gaming world as Game of Thrones Kingsroad, Netmarble’s upcoming RPG title is all set to launch early access on March 26, 2025.

However, early access is going to be paid for and will cost around $24.99. Don’t worry, the full game is going to be free and will be available on mobile and PC. Let’s check out more details in this article.

Kingsroad will become available to PC players via Steam on Wednesday, March 26, 2025. According to Gamespot, this is not a free teaser; Early Access needs a Founder’s Pack purchase.

George R.R. Martin’s universe is ready to arrive on PC and mobile, and many fans are already saying that this is the type of GOT game they have always wanted.

Netmarble is launching three Founder’s Packs, each with Early Access and other incentives. Here’s a breakdown:

• Standard Edition ($24.99): Early Access, Northern Outfit, Jon Snow Emoji Pack, 350 Iron Bank Marks.
• Deluxe Edition ($49.99): All Standard goodies, plus Premium Battle Pass, Wandering Crow Outfit, Darkcloud Mount, Founder’s Nameplate, 750 Iron Bank Marks, 50,000 Copper.
• Ultimate Edition (Price TBD): Everything from Deluxe, plus Premium Battle Pass+, White Fang Mount (Direwolf), extra mount gear, 2,000 Iron Bank Marks, 200,000 Copper.

Why the Paywall for Game of Thrones Kingsroad?

Even though the game will be free to play on the full launch, currently fans have to pay if they want to play the game early.

The $24.99 entry charge raised eyebrows, but the content load (50+ hours of quests, according to leaks) may make it worthwhile for diehards. X posts range from “$25 for this is a steal” to “Why not free like the beta?”—a split that will play out when servers go live Wednesday.
