Players have been enjoying the new MMO survival RPG game set in the Dune universe; however, now Dune Awakening servers have gone into maintenance.

Current Dune Awakening server status and maintenance

Today, Sunday, June 8, the Dune Awakening servers will be down for maintenance beginning at 1:00 AM PDT / 4:00 AM EDT / 9:00 AM BST / 10:00 AM CEST.

Developer Funcom has informed the players to expect the maintenance for at least two hours. They will try to bring the servers back online as soon as possible.

Funcom also warns of potential daily patches in the first few days after launch, which will most likely occur around the same time.

Troubleshooting server issues

Some players are experiencing difficulties even outside of maintenance. The official Dune Awakening X profile provides fixes.

If Steam failed to load the day-one patch properly, restart the game. Beta testers may also be stuck in old regions; simply use the ‘Change Region’ option to switch. These easy changes could get you back in the game.

Multiplayer games like Dune Awakening thrive on wild enjoyment, but server instability is a drawback. As a survival MMO, it is prone to downtime, particularly during early access when Funcom works out bugs.

Many fans aren’t happy with the current Dune Awakening server downtime. For many NA and European regions, it’s the weekend and the best time to play the games.

Servers going down at this point have ruined many fans’ expectations, who were very eager to play the game.

Thousands of people have asked for help in forums owing to unplayable slowness, even with high-end equipment. Let’s hope the developers will fix this issue as soon as possible.
