Pay special importance to this
Competitive and ranked matches in Marvel Rivals might become frustrating for many people. This is especially true for those who play solo.
At least Dev’s has provided a feature known as Chrono Shield to prevent some of your losses in the ranked match. Let’s check out more details on this and how it works.
Marvel Rivals Chrono shield
This is a protective feature in Marvel Rivals that safeguards players’ ranks when they lose the match. Let’s look at it with an example: You are about to lose 40 points and might demoted. It’s really frustrating when you get demoted after you have worked so hard to climb up the ranks.
But the Chrono shield activates and can save you from that demotion. This acts like a buffer. This shield won’t help you to rank up but will ensure that you will not face any loss. This is a very crucial feature when you climb up the ranks in this game.

How does it work?
Now pay attention, there is also a catch for this feature. It’s a no-brainer that Chrono Shield will not work every single time or the ranked feature might have been broken.
It is a one-time use-per-match feature, which means that once used, it enters a cooldown period. You will need to wait for it to recharge before using it again. The recharge method is based on your losses; the more matches you lose, the faster the shield restores.
However, the higher your rank, the more losses are necessary to recharge the Chrono Shield, making it less common for experienced players.
Who benefits most from the Chrono Shield?
This feature is very crucial and mostly advantageous for beginners who have just started to push their ranks. Personally, I would say that this might be useful till Gold ranks. For those at higher ranks, it’s pretty much useless. However, this is still an important feature that might clutch at the right moment to save you from rank demotion.
