The Esports scene has finally started in Marvel Rivals as NetEase has officially announced the Marvel Rivals Ignite 2025.
This is a global tournament series launching in May 2025, with a massive $3 million prize pool. This was officially announced on May 1, 2025.
Marvel Rivals Ignite promises to electrify the competitive hero shooter landscape, with the Grand Finals alone giving $1 million. Let’s check out more details in this article.
$3 million prize pool and global stage
If you look at previous tournaments like Marvel Rivals Championship ($14,500 per region) and the PlayStation Cup, Marvel Rivals Ignite 2025 will be on a whole other level.
With a $3 million prize pool split across regional events and the November 2025 Grand Finals.
The $1 million Grand Finals prize has Overwatch 2 and Valorant pros considering switching to Marvel Rivals, which has drawn 40 million players and 6v6 turmoil since its December 2024 release.

Five regions competing
The tournament is for the five regions: Americas, EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa), China, Asia, and Oceania.
Unlike the regional-only Marvel Rivals Championship, Ignite concludes with an offline global event, offering high-stakes confrontations between top teams like as 100 Thieves, Fnatic, and Sentinels.
Marvel Rivals Ignite 2025 schedule and format
This tournament is going to kick off with Open Qualifiers in two splits: May 15–25 and May 26–June 1, 2025.
This is going to be accessible to all players who are at Platinum 3 rank or above, forming six-player teams.
Top teams from the Marvel Rivals Invitational 2025 and Championship Season 1 receive straight invitations.
The Group Stage follows, with the top half progressing to the regional playoffs. The Mid-Season Finals in July 2025 will include a $500,000 prize pool.
Stage 2 (August-October) follows the same pattern as Stage 1 and concludes with the Grand Finals in November.
The matches follow a double-elimination style, with best-of-three early rounds and best-of-seven Grand Finals, which are televised on Twitch and YouTube.
