The new melee & shoot hybrid character
The glorious vampire hunter, Blade, has finally arrived in Marvel Rivals Season 3.5 and everyone is currently busy Insta-locking this character.
He is a 350 HP DPS character, and he may seem like a broken or immortal force on the battlefield. However, he is not and if you play wrongly, you will just explode in a few seconds.
Here are some of the best tips and tricks on how you can play this character correctly and provide the most value & impact to your team.
Tips & tricks on how to play Blade in Marvel Rivals Season 3.5
Before insta-locking, head towards the practice area and get familiar with his kit. Your main source of damage is going to be your gun & not your sword.
Gun or shotgun does a lot more damage when you are more than 5 meters away from your opponent. You can easily two-tap a 250 hp hero from 8m to 15m.
From 15m to 20m, you can easily make three taps. This is a significant amount of damage, and this is how you will contribute to the fight.
While engaging in a fight, use your dash on tanks to give them 40% healing reduction. This will make tanks on opponent teams harder to heal and your team can go for kills.
You can also mark the opponent team’s flank players and peel for your backline. Blade is pretty strong in 1v1 and you will 90% win the fight in this situation.
Don’t go around on unnecessary flanks if your team is not playing diving and having proper comms. His hitbox is huge and you will just get CC and die.
Use the bloodline awakening with your sword combos to pick up players who are out of position or to clear up the enemies when they are too close. You can also farm your ult pretty fast with this.
You can also provide pressure on the opponent’s team tanks as well, but make sure to retreat at the right amount of time.
His ultimate is pretty good and also provides healing reduction. But the opponents can easily walk out of it. You can combo your ult with other characters’ ult or go for easy peakings on flankers or healers.
Final Thoughts
The main thing to remember while playing this character is when to engage and when to leave, while you are in melee mode.
Try to use your shotgun more, as it is kind of broken at the sweet spot range. Try to play like this on quick play matches and get familiar with his kit and habits.
Only playing him again and again will build your habits and instincts. He might be an easy character to play, but very hard to master.
