A new exclusive feature
With the season 1 introduction and a new update in Marvel Rivals, the game has introduced a totally new feature which is called, “Recursive Destruction.” This feature is exclusive to the Midtown map.
Now with the help of this feature, players can build unique strategies by destroying or changing some specific buildings on this map. Let’s check out more details in this article.
What is Recursive Destruction and how to use it?
This is a dynamic feature in the game that lets players restore specific parts of the environment to their original state in Marvel Rivals.
This concept is very effective for modifying the battlefield to your favor, adding or removing cover, and adjusting paths to improve your team’s tactics. If you are on the attacking side, you can make good use of these buildings and structures by playing on the high ground.
But if you are on the defensive side, make sure to destroy this building as soon as possible. Attacking teams won’t be able to use the flanks or high ground on your team.
To utilize Recursive Destruction, you must first activate the Chrono Vision ability, which you can do by pressing B on your keyboard or the D-pad on your console controller. This skill assists you in identifying which aspects of the environment can be manipulated:
- Destructible objects look yellow in Chrono Vision.
- Objects eligible for recursive destruction are shown in red.
Once you have noticed the red-colored objects, start by damaging them to start the Recursive Destruction. Don’t use melee characters as that will take a very long time.

On the Midtown map, there are two main places where you can activate Recursive Destruction:
- Central Station: After passing the first checkpoint, a massive amount of wreckage inside is suitable for repair.
- Collapsed Buildings: After the second checkpoint, damaged structures can be restored.
