Mecha BREAK Open Beta was recently launched on February 23, 2025, on Steam and it is already considered a massive hit. It attracted around 317,000 concurrent players within hours.

Mecha BREAK puts you in a high-stakes sci-fi environment where you control customizable mechs in three thrilling modes: 3v3 Deathmatch, 6v6 Hero Shooter, and PvPvE Extraction Shooter. Whether you’re an assault, melee, sniper, reconnaissance, or support pilot, the game features furious ground and aerial action that will keep you on your toes.

Set in a post-apocalyptic Earth ravaged by a mystery mineral known as Corite, the novel paints a bleak picture: this carbon-silicon miracle revitalized the planet’s energy industry but now threatens to wipe out humanity’s final habitable zones within 30 years. As a BREAK Striker pilot, you’ll navigate this tumultuous battlefield with the help of the clandestine S.H.A.D.O.W. organization in order to save—or reshape—the Earth.

Open Beta and upcoming events

It was announced on February 21, that this free-to-play beta is live on Steam. Many gamers with PC quickly hop on to this game to test out what it is all about. You can still join the demo and enjoy the mech battles with some gorgeous characters.

Mecha BREAK’s first major invitational is set for March 2025 in China, when top teams will compete for a large reward, adding more hype for the game.

Now with over 300,000 players who have joined and more who are currently joining, these mecha battles are really going to be interesting and tense.
