Upcoming Stalker 2 update

In a recent Steam post, GSC Game World outlined the upcoming patch’s key fixes, which include:

• Crash Fixes: Tackling memory allocation and rendering issues that have previously led to unexpected game exits, especially during critical gameplay moments like cutscenes.
• Main Quest Progression: Solving several bugs that prevent players from advancing in the main storyline, such as stuck NPCs, misplaced quest markers, and problematic cutscenes. Specific quests like “Visions of Truth” and “A Minor Incident” will see revisions to ensure seamless progression.
• Gameplay and Balance: Rectifying pricing discrepancies for upgraded weapons and improving NPC behavior during in-game events like Emissions, where finding shelter is crucial in Stalker 2.
• Cutscenes and Visuals: Addressing visual inconsistencies including missing facial animations, misplaced characters, and clothing glitches, alongside enhancing the stability and quality of visual effects.
• Softlock Issues: Resolving a particularly frustrating bug where players couldn’t exit the trade screen on gamepads after incorrectly placing ammo.
• User Interface: Enhancing the display of quest notifications during dialogues and fixing text errors and interaction prompts.
