Visual Concepts and 2K Games have finally revealed the full roster for their upcoming game, WWE 2K25. This time, the game is going to have around 300 playable characters including current and old superstars as well.

However, this year’s game has a catch: 26 wrestlers from WWE 2K24 will not be returning. Let’s check out more details in this article.

Who’s missing from WWE 2K25?

Now there are many reasons behind this cut like Bobby Lashley, MVP, Ricochet, etc have all left the WWE and are currently part of AEW. The Pat McAfee DLC Pack for WWE 2K24 drew criticism, likely influencing the decision not to continue with some of those characters. Wrestlers such as Roode have moved to backstage duties, which may complicate their participation owing to contract restrictions.

Fans have flooded to Reddit to discuss the changes with member Makuraudo providing a list of excluded superstars. There is a significant community desire for a TNA DLC pack that may potentially bring back characters such as Roode in his TNA guise, providing fans with a nostalgic experience.

Although there have been many of them who are not a part of this game, fans are still hoping they may return to the game in the future via DLC. WWE 2K24’s popularity with the WCW DLC pack hints that WWE 2K25 may follow suit, bringing these missed wrestlers in new or upgraded forms.

Interestingly, WWE 2K25 is also known for breaking the so-called ‘Ken Shamrock curse’, in which the wrestling great has been inconsistently included in previous games, demonstrating another degree of fan interaction with roster dynamics.
