Two S-Rank W-Engines

According to @_hiragara_ on X, Zenless Zone Zero 1.7 is going to roll out two S-rank W-Engines specially tailored for Vivian and Hugo.

While their exact names are unknown, these trademark gears are designed to highlight the duo’s distinct talents. It is worth noting that these leaks are the result of beta testing, thus final modifications may occur before the April 23, 2025 release.

Vivian’s W-Engine

• Base ATK: 713.
• Second statistic: Anomaly Proficiency +90.
• Effect: Increases Attribute Anomaly Buildup Rate by 40%. Dealing Ether DMG increases the wielder’s Anomaly Proficiency by 20 for 5 seconds, which stacks up to 6 times (triggers once every 0.5 seconds). Repeated hits refresh the duration.

If you love anomaly-focused builds, then this might be your next choice. With a high Anomaly Proficiency stat and a passive that stacks even more on Ether strikes, it’s ideal for racking up Disorder damage or assisting a chaos-focused team.

Hugo’s W-Engine

• Base ATK: 713.
• Second statistic: CRIT rate has increased by 24 percent.
• Effect: Increases ATK by 25%. When an EX Special Skill, Chain Attack, or Ultimate deals Ice DMG, their CRIT DMG rises by 25%. Hitting disoriented foes provides an additional 25% CRIT DMG bonus.

Hugo’s W-Engine will now scream more DPS dominance on Zenless Zone Zero 1.7. The CRIT Rate enhancement sets the tone, and its effect boosts CRIT DMG for Ice-based EX Specials, Chain Attacks, and Ultimates—doubling down when enemies are dazed—making it ideal for shredding stunned targets.
