Emiliano Grillo, the defending champion at the Charles Schwab Challenge 2024, is tied for 79th place after a 2-over 72 in the first round. He is seven strokes behind leader Charley Hoffman. Grillo struggled in his opening round, making just three birdies and posting two bogeys and one triple bogey.
The Charles Schwab Challenge 2024 is being held from 23rd to 26th May this year. Round 1 at the tournament took place yesterday with Charley Hoffman leading the Charles Schwab Challenge 2024 with a score of -5. He hit a bogey-free 5-under 65 in the opening round, securing the early lead. Davis Riley, S.H. Kim, Martin Laird, Brian Harman, and Tony Finau tied for second place with a score of -4.
