Scottie Scheffler will not take part in CJ Cup Byron Nelson as he and his wife are expecting their first child.

Scottie Scheffler will not take part in the CJ Cup Byron Nelson 2024 which is going on in McKinney, Texas. He and his wife, Meredith are expecting their first child who is due in the month of April according to the previous reports. 

Scottie Scheffler got married to his high school love, Meredith Scudder, in 2020. They are expecting their first child, who is due in the month of April, according to the previous reports. Scheffler has taken a break from all the tournaments, including the CJ Cup Byron Nelson, and will be in the PGA Championship scheduled for mid-May.

He said it is a very special time for both of them and he is excited to be a part of this new journey with her wife. His last appearance was in the RBC Heritage, on April 22 which was delayed due to bad weather. After winning the tournament, during the press conference, he said that he would directly appear in the PGA Championship scheduled for May 16–19; until then, he would not take part in any of the tournaments. 

Scottie Scheffler Masters Win

Scoot Alexander Scheffler is holding his first potion in the World Golf Ranking for the 50th consecutive week, even without appearing in any of the current tournaments. Scheffler turned professional in 2018 and holds 13 professional wins as of April 2024.

In 2024, he won the Players Championship for the second consecutive year, making history in the tournament. In April, he also claimed his second victory in the Masters, the second time in his career after a span of three years. His winning score was 277, with 11 under par along with a margin of 4 strokes against Ludvig Aberg. With this win, he became the fourth youngest player to hold the Two Masters trophy. 

Scheffler also joined hands with Tiger Woods and Jack Nicklaus as players to have multiple victories at both the major tournaments, the Players Championship and the Masters.
