The PGA Championship 2024 has a cutline of top 70 players
The PGA Championship 2024, the second of four major golf tournaments in 2024, will take place from May 16-19. The tournament, which includes some LIV Golf members, invites the world’s best golfers to compete for the title. The top 70 golfers, including ties, will make the cut after the second round and advance to the weekend.
With 156 golfers in the field, approximately half of the top 156 will make the cut, depending on the number of tied players at the 70th position.
The PGA Championship 2024 has a cutline of the top 70 players, including ties, in the first two rounds, eliminating half of the field each year. The cut line changes annually and every round, allowing the top 70 and ties to play in the third and fourth rounds. Players above this line advance to the final two rounds. The PGA Championship and British Open have the same cut line.
