When will Rory McIlroy tee in Round 2 of Wells Fargo Championship 2024

Rory McIlroy won the 2021 edition of Wells Fargo Championship with 10 under par.

The Wells Fargo Championship 2024 tee timings of the second round have been declared recently. Round 2 will take place on May 10, Friday at the Quails Hollow Club, South Carolina. Since the announcement, Rory McIlroy’s tee has been the center table conversation among the people. 

Rory McIlroy from the Netherlands has won the Championship three times, making it the highest record in the history of the Wells Fargo Championship. His winning years were 2010, 2015, and 2021. He has also set the record of being in the top 10 five times in the tournament. He will be teeing on Friday at 11.33 am, local time along with Tom Kim and Max Homa. 

Max Homa is following the lead of Rory McIlroy who will also tee along with him in the same slot. Homa from the United States won the title twice in the years 2019 and 2022. The tournament’s second round  will start at 11.00 am, local time.

Rory McIlroy’s wins explored

Rory McIlroy is a 35-year professional golfer who turned professional in 2007. He holds the 39 professional wins in his career reaching number #1 in the world on 4 March 2012. 

McIlroy’s first win was in 2010 with a score of 275 and 15 under par. He took the handsome money prize of $1,170,000 along with himself. His next win in the year 2015 was with an impeccable score of 267 and 27 under par.

In the tournament, he took home a $1,278,000 winning prize with himself. 2021 was the last year of his win at the Wells Fargo Championship with a score of 274 with 10 under par. In the tournament, he took $1,620,000 with himself. 

In 2024 he is back and having eyes on his fourth victory at the Wells Fargo Championship. He will tee on Friday 10 May at 11.33 am, local time.
