Rory McIlroy won the 2024 Wells Fargo Championship and claimed his 26th title on the PGA Tour.
The Wells Fargo Championship 2024 has come to an end which was going on at the Quails Hollow Club from May 9 to 12. The Championship was the signature tournament of the PGA Tour with an open field and no cuts.
The fourth round of the tournament seemed to be the two-man competition as Rory McIlroy and Xander Schauffele as both the golfers were two and three shots ahead of their competitors. In the final round of the Wells Fargo Championship, he shot six under and won the tournament with a margin of five strokes. He made two birdies in the final round on the 8th and 9th holes.
The purse of the Wells Fargo Championship 2024 is a handsome amount of $20 million with the winner’s cut of $3.6 million along with 700 FedEx points. The final round of the tournament held on 12th May, Sunday in North Carolina, the Golf Capital of the World.
