India are the defending champions and most successful nation in the tournament.

The Men’s Asian Champions Trophy 2024 starts this Sunday in China, with six top teams ready to battle it out. India, who just won bronze at the Olympics, is the team to beat.

The tournament runs from September 8 to 17 in Hulunbuir City. Mongolia. India, Pakistan, China, Japan, South Korea, and Malaysia are all in the mix. Each team will play everyone else once. The four best teams then move on to the semi-finals.

India’s captain, Harmanpreet Singh, will hope to lead his team to a fifth title. They’re coming in hot after their Olympic success in Paris last month. The Indian men’s hockey team will begin their campaign things off against the home team, China, on opening day. With their recent Olympic performance, they’re the favorites to win it all.

The games will be at the Moqi training base. It’s a round-robin setup, meaning lots of action as teams face off against each other.
