AISPCB smash UCO Bank in Women's Inter-Department Hockey Nationals

Pragya Mourya and Surabhi Pradhan each scored four goals as the victors put 15 past the opposition net.
The final round of Pool stage matches of the 2nd Hockey India Women's Inter-Department Nationals 2022 were played on Tuesday here in New Delhi.
In the first Pool match of the day, All India Police Sports Control Board humbled UCO Bank Women's Hockey Academy 15 - 0. Captain Pragya Mourya (10', 14', 45', 59') and Surabhi Pradhan (5', 27', 41', 51') led the charge with four goals each to their name, while Supriya Mundu (4', 30', 39') registered a hat-trick. Pricilla Tirkey (8', 56'), Pinki Ekka (38') and Neha Sharma (46') also chipped in with goals for All India Police Sports Control Board.
In the second match of the day at the Inter-Department Women's Hockey Nationals, Railway Sports Promotion Board delivered a strong showing in a 4 – 0 win over Sashastra Seema Bal. Top scorer of the competition Anupa Barla (5’, 37’), and Priyanka Wankhede (15’, 48’) scored a brace each to seal the victory for Railway Sports Promotion Board.
In the final match of the day, Steel Plant Sports Board edged out Sports Authority of India 1 – 0 in a tightly contested affair between two evenly matched teams. Captain Mamta Bhatt (46’) scored the deciding goal of the match in the fourth quarter to give Steel Plant Sports Board all three points from the contest.
A total of six teams will vie for top honours at the 2nd Hockey India Senior Women Inter-Department National Championship 2022 at the Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium. The teams will play five matches each in the pool stage and the top two ranked teams will take on each other in the Final of the second edition of the Hockey India Senior Women Inter-Department National Championship 2022 on 30th March.
