Khel Now experts talk about Manpreet Singh’s aggression and Joginder Narwal's mistake
Naveen Kumar stole a point by entering the bonus zone to win his side the game.
Manpreet Singh, India's former player and one of the best coaches in the Pro Kabaddi League, has always been in the news due to his aggressive attitude during the game. Khel Now Experts Rohit Baliyan, Preetam Chhillar and Mohit Chhillar had their opinion in the Bol Kabaddi Khel Kabaddi show on Manpreet Singh’s aggression after a spectacular Day 10 of the league. The experts also talked about the mistake of Joginder Narwal.
Joginder allowed Naveen Kumar to take the bonus point in the dying seconds of the game. Thus, Haryana Steelers conceded the game to the Pro Kabaddi League Season 8 winners Dabang Delhi.
On-field aggression of Manpreet Singh
Just when the nail-biting clash was in its last minute, coach Manpreet Singh showed his aggressive expressions when his team member got a point. On this, Rohit Baliyan said, "Manpreet Singh has been a big player for India in the past. He has been a former senior player and a coach as well. I believe this much expression is not good at all because he has been in front of a senior coach."
Rohit further added, "It is absolutely wrong to celebrate like this before the game ends. After Dabang Delhi’s victory, Krishan Kumar Hooda’s celebration was a perfect response to Manpreet.
On the same discussion, veteran Mohit Chhillar said, "I agree with you Rohit, but Manpreet Singh, being an aggressive person, will always be in this mood. He has always been like this. I believe it's not right and one should understand the difference between a junior and a senior. But I must say that a coach like Manpreet Singh always brings excitement into the game.
On talking about Krishan Kumar Hooda, "His expression was meant to be like this today because of this kind of encounter. He has done nothing wrong because the situation was so tense at that time. He did justice to it after winning the battle."
Not a good decision by Joginder Narwal
At the crucial moment, Joginder Narwal, who has been senior to most of the players right now, made a mistake by allowing Naveen Kumar to take a bonus. On this, Rohit Baliyan said, "Joginder is our senior player and has all the experience of the game. It was decided during the time-out that no one would allow Naveen to take the bonus, but Joginder himself stood behind the line, which was the turning point."
Speaking on the mistake of Joginder Narwal, Mohit Chhillar wanted to focus more on expertise of Naveen Kumar to have come up with the idea of stealing a bonus in the dying seconds of the game.
Mohit Chhillar quipped, "Joginder has played with Naveen on many occasions and the 39-year-old must have had an idea of what Naveen could do. But credit goes to Naveen as his skill at that moment was unknown to all, including Joginder himself."
