Both the raiding and defensive unit clicked well and scored points simultaneously with Maninder Singh scoring yet another super 10 along with Shrikanth Jadhav. Bengal Warriors will next play Puneri Paltan in their next PKL 9 game.

Puneri Paltan lost yet another close encounter against their rivals U Mumba (34-35) but still continues to hold on to the top spot. Two topmost defenders Fazel Athrachali and Sombir failed to score even a single tackle point hurting Puneri Paltan badly with none of the other defenders taking over the responsibilities.

Mohit Goyat scored a super 10 in the last encounter against U Mumba and was able to score a win single-handedly but lost the match only by a point. At the end of the first half, there were talks from the camp to replace Mohit with Akash but was given a chance to prove his worth which he rightly did scoring 13 points overall.

Shaktivel was the left-corner defender from Bengal Warriors against Gujarat Giants and played a crucial role in defence. He scored a total of four tackle points with three unsuccessful tackles which need to be taken care of. The left-corner defender will be up against Aslam Inamdar who will look to attack the inexperienced youngster frequently.

Gujarat Giants vs Haryana Steelers

Gujarat Giants were totally decimated by Bengal Warriors in the last encounter losing by a 19-point margin (27-46). Partheek Dahiya their star raider for the past few matches did not play the entire match and it was Chandran Ranjith who scored the bulk of the points in raiding. Rakesh Kumar who started the season on a great note has slowly started losing pace. Gujarat Giants will next play Haryana Steelers in a PKL 9 game.

Haryana Steelers like the opponents Gujarat Giants are coming off a loss in the last encounter against UP Yoddhas (31-40). Haryana Steelers has not looked good in the Pune leg with the defenders showing poor consistency. Manjeet Dahiya in raiding has lived up to the expectations and is leading the team from the front.

Head to Head

Player to watch

The cover duo of Jaideep and Mohit Nandal were scoring points consistently at the start of the season but as the season has gone by the pair has looked highly inconsistent hurting Haryana Steelers badly. With Rakesh not at his peak, the duo can use this opportunity and get back to form and grow their confidence going forward.

Chandran Ranjith the captain has been the tertiary raider for Gujarat Giants when both Rakesh Kumar and Partheek are in the playing 7. The experienced raider showed his class and experience in the last encounter and shall add value to the raiding department if one of their main raiders is out of form and take additional responsibility.
