Tamil Thalaivas vs U Mumba
U Mumba lost a crucial encounter against Telugu Titans in their previous encounter (26-32) and lost out on crucial points in the last leg of the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) season 9. The defence-heavy side failed to score tackle points and put in many unsuccessful tackles. Vishal Mane was brought in which did not solve their issues either.
Tamil Thalaivas won their first match in the Hyderabad leg defeating Bengal Warriors(35-30) in a closely fought battle. Sagar Rathee was the star of the match pinning down Maninder Singh in the last minute in a super tackle situation turning the entire fate of the match which the scoreboard doesnt suggest.

Tamil Thalaivas and U Mumba have faced each other eight times in the Pro Kabaddi League out of which, U Mumba has won six matches whereas Tamil Thalaivas has come out victorious on only one occasion with one match ending in a tie.
Player to watch
Sagar the left corner defender scored the fifth high five of season 9 and came at the right time for Tamil Thalaivas as the franchise has to win almost all the remaining matches to qualify for the playoffs. The corner duo of Sagar and Sahil will have to be careful of Guman Singh who in the last encounter was a bit silent and will definitely give a comeback.
Rinku the right-corner defender will have to play a vital role for U Mumba to win the match. Narender Kandola scored 13 points in the last encounter against Bengal Warriors out of which five points came from bonuses. U Mumba is a defence-heavy team and shall defend Narender from taking the bonus points and shift the momentum.
Telugu Titans vs Patna Pirates
Telugu Titans have won their first encounter after a 12-match losing streak and the second win overall in PKL season 9. The bottom-placed home team beat a strong U Mumba side to gain much-needed confidence and will now play for pride after missing out on a playoff spot again this year.
Patna Pirates lost a close encounter to the struggling Dabang Delhi KC (27-30) and were without their star raider Sachin Tawar hurting the franchise badly. Shadlu was the star player along with Neeraj for assists who helped Patna get to a reasonable score and put in a fight as well.

Player to watch
Chiyaneh will be up against Siddharth Dessai who has been handling the raiding department for Telugu Titans. Shadlu score 16 tackle points in the last encounter and all the tackle points came from super tackles showing complete dominance. He will once again have his task cut out against Telugu Titans as they will be playing in front of their home crowd and also will be high on confidence in winning their last match.
Parvesh Bainswal in the last match handled the defence very well along with Vishal Bharadwaj and the defence also put in sensible tackles rather than putting in advance tackles which they kept doing for the entire season. If Sachin doesn’t play again then it will become easy for Parvesh as he will have to only stop Rohit Gulia with whom he has played in the past.
