Gujarat Giants vs Dabang Delhi

Dabang Delhi KC the defending champions after a poor end to the Pune leg of PKL 9 losing almost all the matches have started the last leg of the league stages on a positive note winning two games on the trot and keeping their hopes alive for the playoff spot. Naveen Kumar after a few off games was back to his scoring a super 10 with the defence starting to perform well.

Gujarat Giants has started to falter in the important stage of the group stages losing both their previous encounters in the Hyderabad leg. With this string of losses Gujarat Giants occupy the 11th spot in the points table and now need to win all their remaining matches to qualify for PKL 9 playoffs.

Head-to-Head

Gujarat Giants and Dabang Delhi KC have faced each other 11 times in the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) out of which, Gujarat has won five matches whereas Dabang Delhi KC has come out victorious on four occasions with two matches ending in a tie.

Player to watch

Amit Hooda in the right corner position has stood tall in Dabang Delhi’s last two wins tackling in crucial situations. Krishan Hooda was the reliable defender at the start of the league but Amit in the last few matches has been the perfect backup and the combination with Sandeep Dhull is working out quite well as both have previously played for Jaipur Pink Panthers in similar positions.

Partheek Dahiya the tall lanky youngster has made a good comeback to the team scoring a super 10 in the last encounter against UP Yoddhas. The raider will play a crucial role in raiding along with captain Chandran Ranjith who has also scored points in the last few matches. Partheek needs to attack Sandeep Dhull who tends to make advanced tackles.

Jaipur Pink Panthers vs Tamil Thalaivas

Tamil Thalaivas hammered U Mumba in the last encounter of PKL 9 defeating them by a 14-point margin (34-20) and look set to make it to the playoffs for the first time in Pro Kabaddi League. Sagar Rathee scored his 5th high 5 and has combined well with Sahil Gulia from the left corner position and now looks like a lethal combo.

Jaipur Pink Panthers lost their previous encounter against Puneri Paltan and lost a golden opportunity to move ahead of Bengaluru Bulls for the 2nd position. Arjun Deshwal once again was the lone raider battling out and scored yet another super 10. The defenders looked out of form costing Jaipur the game.

Head to Head

Tamil Thalaivas and Jaipur Pink Panthers have faced each other seven times in the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) out of which, Jaipur Pink Panthers has won three matches whereas Tamil Thalaivas has come out victorious on two occasions with two matches ending in a tie.

Player to watch

It will be the battle of Narender Kandola against Sahul Kumar the right-corner defender. Narender has been excellent at taking bonus points and is one of the many raiders in PKL to majorly rely on bonus points to gain momentum. Along with the bonus, Narender has scored several points using Dubki which too has been his main weapon.

Ankush in his debut season has been the player to watch out for tackling top-class raiders without much experience playing against them. With Tamil Thalaivas not possessing quality right raiders, Ankush needs to be proactive and look to tackle Ajinkya Pawar who has been good at both raid and defence.
