07:30 Welcome to Khel Now's live update of day 44 of Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) season 9.

Tamil Thalaivas vs Gujarat Giants

Tamil Thalaivas were hammered by Jaipur Pink Panthers in their last encounter losing by 15 point margin (26-41). Narender Kandola did not have any answer to Jaipur’s defence getting tackled consistently along with secondary raider Ajinkya Pawar. Sagar the main defender was stretchered out after an injury in the first half has made things worse for Tamil Thalaivas.

Gujarat Giants lost their last encounter to Dabang Delhi KC (47-50). Giants was trailing by a big margin at the end of the first half but Partheek Dahiya along with Sonu put in a spirited effort to take the game closer. Gujarat Giants could only score one tackle point in the entire match which was scored by Sourav Gulia.

Head to Head

Tamil Thalaivas and Gujarat Giants have faced each other seven times in the Pro Kabaddi League out of which, Gujarat Giants has won four matches whereas Tamil Thalaivas has come out victorious on two occasions with one match ending in a tie.

Player to watch

Sourav Gulia has made a return to the starting 7 and shall look to control the defence who have looked out of colour in the last encounter. The defence scored only one point in the entire match and will be low on confidence. With the chances of getting to the playoffs looking slim the defence needs to put up a good show in the upcoming matches.

Sahil Gulia will have to take over the control of defence from Sagar who lookdabangs set to miss the next couple of matches due to injury. Sahil is the next-best defender for Tamil Thalaivas this season and will be up against Partheek Dahiya who has been in terrific form.

Dabang Delhi vs Bengaluru Bulls

Bengaluru Bulls lost the last encounter to Bengal Warriors by a three-point margin (38-41) with Bharat scoring yet another super 10. Vikash Kandola did the bulk of the raiding going in for 16 raids but could garner only five raid points with Bharat scoring ten points from 13 raids. Aman has gradually improved his performance scoring four tackle points.

Dabang Delhi KC has bounced back strong and won their last encounter against Gujarat Giants (50-47) in a high-scoring encounter. Defence put in a good show scoring ten points overall showing good improvement from their previous matches. Naveen Kumar is back to business and scored his second super 10 of the Hyderabad leg.

Head-to-Head

Bengaluru Bulls and Dabang Delhi KC have faced each other 18 times in the Pro Kabaddi League out of which, Bengaluru Bulls has won seven matches whereas Dabang Delhi KC has come out victorious on nine occasions with two matches ending in a tie.

Player to watch

Aman of Bengaluru Bulls from the left corner shall be the player to watch out for after showing good improvement and consistency in the last few matches. The left corner was one of the weak sections for the Bulls but Aman has come back strong and will be up against Ashu and Naveen “Express” who both are in good form.

Sandeep Dhull in the left corner position has put in solid ankle holds and will look to target both Neeraj Narwal and Bharat. In the last encounter against Gujarat, it was Sandeep Dhull who led the defence at the start and inflicted an all-out. He needs good support from the right flank and Amit Hooda needs to feature in the starting 7.
