Each of these players will hope that they can continue with their impressive performance in the ongoing season.

The Vivo Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) season 9 has completed a month. The tournament is heading into its fifth week. Last week saw a lot of changes in the points table. Dabang Delhi after their terrific start to the tournament have lost all their previous five encounters, while teams like Tamil Thalaivas and Patna Pirates are making rapid strides in the points table after a slow start.

In this article, we look at the five players to watch out for in the upcoming gameweek five of PKL season 9.

Saurabh Nandal (Bengaluru Bulls)

Bengaluru Bulls are currently on the top of the points table. It has largely been because of Bharat Hooda, but Saurabh Nandal has also stepped up big time in defence. He is currently the leading defender in the tournament with 34 tackle points from 10 games. The Bulls would hope that he can continue the same form in the upcoming week.

Ankush R (Jaipur Pink Panthers)

Jaipur Pink Panthers are currently fifth on the PKL 9 points table. They have lost their last three games after a terrific start to the tournament. But Ankush R has been terrific for them in defence. He is the third leading defender in the tournament with 29 tackle points from nine games. The Panthers would hope to get back to winning ways in the upcoming week and hope that Ankush can continue the same form.

Sourav Gulia (Gujarat Giants)

Gujarat Giants have lost two of their last three games. Rakesh's off day against the Patna Pirates in their last game meant that the Giants lost a close game. They are currently seventh on the points table. It's largely because of Rakesh's superlative performance in the raiding department but Sourav Gulia's performance in defence has gone unnoticed.

He has 25 tackle points in nine games and the Giants would hope that Gulia and company can continue the good work in defence so that they can get back to the top six.

Maninder Singh (Bengal Warriors)

Bengal Warriors made a massive comeback against the Thalaivas in their last game to tie the match. It was largely because of Maninder Singh returning to his best. He scored 19 raid points and is currently the sixth leading raider in the tournament with 83 points from nine games. The Warriors would hope that Maninder can continue his same form in the upcoming week and help his team break into the top six.

Meetu Sharma (Haryana Steelers)

Haryana Steelers haven't lost a game as far as their last three games are concerned. They have won two and tied one. While it was Manjeet, who got the tournament going for the Steelers. It's Meetu Singh who is carrying the raiding responsibility as the PKL season 9 has progressed.

He has scored 75 raid points in nine games and is currently 10th on the raiders list. The Steelers, who are 6th on the points table currently would hope that Meetu receives support from his other teammates so that the team can maintain their position in the top six.
