Dabang Delhi vs Puneri Paltan

Puneri Paltan lost the last encounter of against Gujarat Giants by 12 points (39-51) which is one of their worst defeats in PKL season 9. A win in the last match would have guaranteed them a place in the playoffs which is now within touching distance. Also, the loss helped Jaipur leapfrog Pune to the top of the points table.

Dabang Delhi KC came from behind to tie the match against Tamil Thalaivas (37-37). The northern team were trailing twice by five points and it was Naveen Kumar who revived them both times. Amit Hooda made a huge error in the last 30 seconds when the momentum was with Delhi.

Naveen Kumar has got back to form at the right time and has the second most super 10s this season (14). Also, the raider has been getting great support from the supporting raiders Ashu and Vijay Malik. Naveen needs to attack the cover position more which has been the weak link for Puneri Paltan.

Tamil Thalaivas tied the last encounter against Dabang Delhi KC (37-37) and are still inside playoff spot. The southern side was leading by more than five points in the last few minutes but couldn’t resist the pressure of Naveen “Express”. The defence in the absence of Sagar needs to play sensibly.

Telugu Titans started the home leg of PKL 9 on a good note but couldn’t continue the consistent run with Siddharth Desai out of action due to an injury. The home side lost the last encounter to Jaipur Pink Panthers by 20 points (48-28) with Parvesh Bhainswal and Vishal Bhardwaj scoring seven and four points respectively.

Narender only needs to evade Parvesh Bainswal and if successful Tamil Thalaivas can win and by a huge margin as well.

Vishal Bharadwaj has scored 43 tackle points this season and is the number one defender in terms of tackle points from the Telugu Titans. Vishal also has the most number of unsuccessful tackles and with Tamil Thalaivas majorly operating in the left flank, the defender needs to be careful and combine in only combination tackles.
