U Mumba vs Dabang Delhi

U Mumba and Dabang Delhi KC lost their last-round encounters of PKL 9 with Gujarat Giants (36-38) and Puneri Paltan (44-47). Mumba in particular was leading for the majority of the match and was the favourite to win. The match will be an important one for both teams and whichever team wins will occupy the sixth spot keeping the score difference aside. U Mumba should win by a huge margin to automatically book the top 6 spots.

Head to Head.

U Mumba and Dabang Delhi KC have faced 19 other times in the Pro Kabaddi League out of which Dabang Delhi KC has won six matches whereas U Mumba has come out victorious on 12 occasions with one match ending in a tie.

Player to watch

The left-right duo of Sandeep Dhull and Amit Hooda need to make it to the playing 7 and shall be given an extended run. Krishan Hooda has been involved in a number of unsuccessful tackles which has hurt the team very badly. Amit and Sandeep can combine well and stop the flow of points.

Surender Singh the captain of U Mumba has led his troops well but after the injury, U Mumba lost their way and are lingering around to make it to the playoffs. Surender the cover defender needs to handle the defence well against a strong raiding unit of Delhi.

Gujarat Giants vs Telugu Titans

Gujarat Giants won the last encounter of PKL 9 against U Mumba by a two-point margin (38-36) and are on a three-match unbeaten streak. Partheek Dahiya once again stood out for the Giants scoring a super 10 and a total of 13 raid points. The defence which was a concern gave good support to the raiding department.

Telugu Titans lost by a massive 28-point margin against Tamil Thalaivas (24-52) which is also one of the worst defeats in terms of score difference for the Titans. Siddharth Desai who was back from the injury couldn’t replicate his old form and was substituted early. Hanumanthu stood out in Desai’s absence scoring the first super 10 of the season.

Head to Head

Telugu Titans and Gujarat Giants have faced each other seven times in the Pro Kabaddi League out of which, Gujarat has won six encounters whereas Telugu Titans have come out victorious on only one occasion.

Player to watch

Partheek Dahiya should find it easy against the inconsistent defensive unit of Telugu Titans. None of the defenders including the cover defender Parvesh Bainswal stood up in the crucial situations in the last few encounters. Partheek needs to make use of this opportunity and score maximum raid points.

Hanumanthu looks like a good raiding talent from Telugu Titans. In season 8 it was Rajnish and Ankit Beniwal who were the youngsters to watch out for and in season 9 it can be Hanumanthu who hasn’t got enough game time. The Gujarat Giants’ defence too doesn’t look very solid and can score consecutive super 10.
