Bengal Warriors vs Dabang Delhi

Bengal Warriors lost the last encounter to Jaipur Pink Panther by a 25-point margin (31-57) and are currently positioned 10th in the points table of PKL 9. Shrikanth Jadhav scored more than half of the team’s score(16) with none turning up in the crucial encounter. The defence in particular cost Bengal the game. 

Dabang Delhi KC won the last encounter against U Mumba comfortably (24-41) and is just a foot away from making it to the playoffs. Amit Hooda scored the most points (7) in the presence of Naveen Kumar, Vijay Malik, and Ashu Malik. The defence played a massive role in the win against U Mumba.

Head to Head

Dabang Delhi KC and Bengal Warriors have faced 18 other times in the Pro Kabaddi League out of which Bengal Warriors have won eight matches whereas Dabang Delhi KC has come out victorious on seven occasions with three games ending in a tie.

Player to watch

As mentioned earlier for Dabang Delhi KC to win a match their defence needs to step up and perform. Once again the left-right corner combo of Sandeep Dhull and Amit Hooda will be the key who both combined to score 11 tackle points against U Mumba. Sandeep Dhull in particular needs to evade the threat of Maninder Singh. 

Girish Ernak will have to step up in the do-or-die encounter being one of the most experienced defenders for Bengal. The defender failed to score a single tackle point against Jaipur Pink Panthers who generally operate with only two raiders. Dabang Delhi KC is a raiding heavy unit and Ernak needs to bring in his A game. 

Haryana Steelers vs Telugu Titans

Haryana Steelers lost the last encounter to Jaipur Pink Panthers (30-44) and will face Telugu Titans in a do-or-die encounter in PKL 9. Steelers’ chances of qualification are not in their hands as Dabang Delhi KC will be playing their final encounter before them. Haryana Steelers will be out of the playoffs race if the northern team wins.

Telugu Titans will be playing the last match of the season which is one of the worst seasons in the league’s history. The franchise can look to give youngsters valuable game time who can get the feel of the league.

Head to Head

Telugu Titans and Haryana Steelers have faced each other eight times in the Pro Kabaddi League out of which, Telugu has won three matches whereas Haryana Steelers have come out victorious on four occasions with one match ending in a tie.

Player to watch

The cover duo of Jaideep and Mohit Nandal has been one of the positives for Haryana Steelers with Jaideep performing exceptionally well this season. In the last encounter, Jaideep failed to score a single tackle point which proved costly for Haryana as he is one of their main defenders. He needs to get back to form and combine with Mohit.

Parvesh Bainswal has been good in the recent few matches and is the lead defender in the absence of Surjeet Singh and Vishal Bhardwaj. Parvesh along with the defence needs to put up a spirited performance for one final time in front of the home fans.
