PKL 9: Telugu Titans can spoil the party for Tamil Thalaivas

Tamil Thalaivas tied the last encounter against Dabang Delhi KC (37-37) and are still inside playoff spot. The southern side was leading by more than five points in the last few minutes but couldn't resist the pressure of Naveen “Express”. The defence in the absence of Sagar needs to play sensibly.

Telugu Titans started the home leg on a good note but couldn't continue the consistent run with Siddharth Desai out of action due to an injury. The home side lost the last encounter to Jaipur Pink Panthers by 20 points (48-28) with Parvesh Bainswal and Vishal Bharadwaj scoring seven and four points respectively.

The score difference of Tamil Thalaivas is very less currently and now have a chance to increase it against the floppy defensive unit. Narender only needs to evade Parvesh Bainswal and if successful Tamil Thalaivas can win and by a huge margin as well.

Vishal Bharadwaj has scored 43 tackle points this season and is the number one defender in terms of tackle points from the Telugu Titans. Vishal also has the most number of unsuccessful tackles and with Tamil Thalaivas majorly operating in the left flank, the defender needs to be careful and combine in only combination tackles.

Key to Success

Both the raiders of Tamil Thalaivas operate from the left flank and should look to score maximum points from this area as Telugu Titans do not have a settled left-corner defender. Vishal Bharadwaj and Parvesh Bainswal will look to attack the raiders further from the opposite side. So the raiding department needs to work out a solution for this and get successful.
