PKL 9: Haryana Steelers will face Telugu Titans in a must win game

The Steelers can still qualify for the playoffs.

Haryana Steelers lost the last encounter to Jaipur Pink Panthers (30-44) and will face Telugu Titans in a do-or-die encounter in PKL 9. Steelers' chances of qualification are not in their hands as Dabang Delhi KC will be playing their final encounter before them. Haryana Steelers will be out of the playoffs race if the northern team wins.

Telugu Titans will be playing the last match of the season which is one of the worst seasons in the league’s history. The franchise can look to give youngsters valuable game time who can get the feel of the league.

Player to watch

The cover duo of Jaideep and Mohit Nandal has been one of the positives for Haryana Steelers with Jaideep performing exceptionally well this season. In the last encounter, Jaideep failed to score a single tackle point which proved costly for Haryana as he is one of their main defenders. He needs to get back to form and combine with Mohit.

Parvesh Bainswal has been good in the recent few matches and is the lead defender in the absence of Surjeet Singh and Vishal Bhardwaj. Parvesh along with the defence needs to put up a spirited performance for one final time in front of the home fans.

Key to Success

The raiding duo of Manjeet Dahiya and Meetu along with the defending duo of Jaideep and Mahit Nandal needs to score maximum points for Haryana Steelers to win. Manjeet in particular can attack the right-corner position which has been a weak link for Telugu Titans. Hanumanthu has been effective in the limited game time provided and has scored points in both attack and defence.
