The champion of the eighth season handed over a big responsibility to the former Indian captain.

Dabang Delhi has made a big change in its coaching staff ahead of the 10th season of the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL). Rambir Singh Khokhar has been appointed as the new coach of Dabang Delhi, replacing Krishan Kumar Hooda. Apart from this, former veteran captain Ajay Thakur has been made the assistant coach of the team. Ajay Thakur has earlier played for Dabang Delhi as a player and has now been entrusted with the big responsibility of coaching.

If we talk about Krishna Kumar Hooda, then under his leadership, Dabang Delhi performed tremendously. The team won the title of the eighth season. Earlier the team had also reached the finals. He had taken the team to new heights and the credit goes to him for grooming a player like Naveen Kumar. However, despite this, he has been removed from coaching and now Rambir Singh Khokar and Ajay Thakur have been entrusted with the big responsibility.

Rambir Singh Khokhar has coached the Indian Kabaddi team

Rambir Singh Khokhar has been a great coach of Kabaddi and has also won the Dronacharya Award. He coached the Indian team in the first Asian Kabaddi Championship in 1987 and the team also won the gold medal under his leadership. Three decades later, he once again coached the team in the 10th edition of the Asian Kabaddi Championship and this time also won the gold medal. He was also the head coach of the Indian team in the 2016 Kabaddi World Cup and 2014 Asian Games and both times the team won the gold medal.

Ajay Thakur has played as a player for Dabang Delhi

Talking about Ajay Thakur, he has played under the coaching of Rambir Singh Khokhar and was the man of the tournament in the 2016 Kabaddi World Cup. He is one of the most successful Kabaddi players in India and has played for many teams in PKL. In such a situation, his experience can be of great use to the team.

Dabang Delhi reached the finals during the seventh season and won the title in the eighth season. Although the team could not win the trophy during the 9th season. Dabang Delhi somehow made it to the playoffs but could not go beyond that. Now Rambir Singh Khokar and Ajay Thakur have the responsibility of making the team champion for the second time.
