The Asian Kabaddi Championship 2023 is set to be held in Busan, South Korea from June 27 to June 30. The schedule of the championship has been announced. It is worth noting that this Kabaddi tournament will be played after a gap of six years.

The tournament’s previous edition was held in 2017 in Gorgan, Iran when the Indian men’s team defeated Pakistan 36-22 in the final. In the women’s category, India is the defending champion, having won the championship in 2017 by beating South Korea 42-20 in the summit clash.

The Asian Kabaddi Championship was inaugurated back in the year 1980 and since then the tournament has witnessed the participation of teams from various Asian countries including India, Pakistan, Iran and Bangladesh. The Indian men’s kabaddi team is the most successful team in the history of the Asian Kabaddi Championships, having won seven gold medals in eight editions.
