According to Rahul Chaudhari, the Uttar Pradesh team performed well in the National Games and won the gold medal, while no player from UP has been selected for the Asian Kabaddi Championship. He alleged that favoritism is being done in team selection.

The 11th Asian Kabaddi Championship will be held in Busan, South Korea from June 27 to June 30. A total of 12 members have been selected for this tournament, in which many veteran players are present. Veterans like Arjun Deshwal, Naveen Kumar, Aslam Inamdar, and Pawan Sehrawat have got a place in this team. In defense, players like Nitesh Kumar, Pravesh Bhainswal, Vishal Bhardwaj, Surjit Singh, and Shubham Shinde have found a place.

Sunil Kumar, who won the PKL title for Jaipur Pink Panthers under his captaincy, has also been included in the team. However, the surprising thing is that players like veteran raiders Pardeep Narwal, Vikash Kandola, and Maninder Singh have not been included in this team.

"The top 8 teams play in this, and we won the gold medal in this. We won this gold medal by defeating the teams whose seven to eight players are in the India camp today. My performance in that was the best. It was even better. If even then my selection is not happening for the India camp, then you can understand how much discrimination is being done with me." he added.

So far, the Asian Kabaddi Championship has been organized 10 times in total. It was first organized in 1980, which was won by the Indian team.
