The stakes will be very high if these six powerhouses will enter auctions.

The dates for the 10th season of the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) have been announced. The organizers, Mashal Sports, have revealed that the players' auction of PKL 10 will be held on September 8th and 9th in Mumbai. Each category in PKL 10's auction has a different base price, with Category A at 30 lahks, Category B at 20 lahks, Category C at 13 lahks, and Category D at 9 lahks.

The player pool for the 10th season will consist of more than 500 players. Additionally, the two finalist teams from the Khelo India University Games 2023 will participate in the auction with 24 players. The total salary purse for all franchises has been increased, with teams now having a purse of 5 crore.

The PKL 10 auction will feature several young players and renowned players. Previous auctions have seen players like Pawan Sehrawat attract substantial bids. Now, let's take a look at the top players who could be part of this year's PKL auction.

1. Naveen Kumar (Dabang Delhi)

Naveen Kumar has been with the Dabang Delhi team for multiple seasons, even captaining them in the previous season. After releasing Joginder Narwal, Dabang Delhi appointed Naveen Kumar as the captain. In the previous season, he scored 258 points in 23 matches, and in the eighth season, he scored 210 points in 17 matches. Naveen Kumar's agility has slightly decreased, possibly affecting his speed and performance. If Dabang Delhi releases him, he could be part of the auction.

2. Maninder Singh (Bengal Warriors)

Maninder Singh played a crucial role as captain when the Bengal Warriors won the PKL title in the seventh season, scoring 205 points in 20 matches. In the eighth season, he scored 264 points in 22 matches, and in the ninth season, he scored 240 points in 21 matches. No team would willingly let go of Maninder Singh, but his susceptibility to injuries raises the possibility of Bengal Warriors releasing him for PKL 10's auction.

3. Rahul Chaudhari (Jaipur Pink Panthers)

Rahul Chaudhari, popularly known as 'Showman,' is one of the kabaddi's biggest stars, having set numerous records in PKL. However, he has struggled to maintain consistent success in recent seasons. In the ninth season, he was part of the title-winning team, Jaipur Pink Panthers, but his performance fell short with only 73 points in 21 matches. This could lead to his participation in the auction once again.

4. Surender Nada (Bengal Warriors)

Surender Nada made a comeback in PKL during the eighth season after a long gap, joining the Haryana Steelers. However, his performance was subpar, scoring only 48 points in 21 matches. He then moved to Bengal Warriors for the ninth season, where he managed only 11 points in 10 matches. As a result, Bengal Warriors might release him, providing an opportunity for him to be part of PKL 10's auction.

5. Deepak Hooda (Bengal Warriors)

Deepak Hooda, another notable figure in the Indian kabaddi world, might also be part of the auction for the 10th season. Deepak Hooda's performance has not been outstanding in recent seasons due to struggles with form and injuries. In the ninth season, he scored only 56 points in 17 matches. Considering his underwhelming performance, Bengal Warriors might release him before PKL 10's auction, allowing him to enter the bidding process.

6. Monu Goyat (Telugu Titans)

Renowned raider Monu Goyat represented the Telugu Titans in the ninth season of PKL, but his performance was disappointing, scoring only 33 points in 10 matches. However, during the eighth season, he scored 93 points in 14 matches. With his lackluster performance, the Telugu Titans might release him, giving him the opportunity to participate in PKL 10's auction once again.
