The Bulls held on to their promising young players.

The Bengaluru Bulls are one of the best teams in the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL). Looking at their journey so far, they have consistently performed well in almost every season. The team clinched the PKL title in the sixth season.

The team’s performance was impressive in the previous season as well, reaching the semifinals. Bengaluru Bulls remained in the third position on the points table with 13 wins out of 22 matches. Their strength was evident even without Pawan Sehrawat. In the past PKL seasons, several players performed exceptionally well for the Bulls. Some were retained by the team, while others were released.

In terms of elite retained players, only Neeraj Narwal was retained by the team. Big raiders like Vikash Kandola were released. In the young players’ category, the team retained Bharat and Saurabh Nandal, both of whom had a good performance in the previous season. Additionally, in the new young players’ category, Aman and Yash Hooda were retained by the team. Let’s find out how these players performed in the 9th season.

Elite Retained Players

Neeraj Narwal – In the 9th PKL season, Neeraj Narwal’s performance for the Bengaluru Bulls was quite impressive. He played a total of 24 matches and scored 115 points. He assisted Bharat in raiding effectively and supported the team when the form of experienced raider Vikash Kandola was not up to the mark. Neeraj Narwal was among the top 5 performers for the team, showing why the franchise has placed trust in him. He’s a valuable asset to the team.

Retained Young Players

Bharat: In the 9th season, concerns about the raiding department arose as Pawan Sehrawat was absent. Yet, Bharat’s remarkable performance alleviated these worries. He tallied 279 points across 23 matches, admirably fulfilling his responsibilities. His ability to single-handedly secure wins in numerous instances, with an average of 12.13, highlighted his significant impact. This led to his retention, considering his potential for the 10th season.

Saurabh Nandal: A specialist in the right corner, Saurabh Nandal earned retention for the upcoming season. The franchise’s confidence in him was well-founded, as he lived up to their trust. In the 9th season, Saurabh Nandal contributed 72 points over 24 matches, instrumental in propelling the team to the playoffs. His role proved pivotal in matches where the Bulls’ victories hinged on their robust defense.

Bengaluru Bulls’ retained young players:

Aman – If the Bengaluru Bulls team succeeds in performing better in the 9th season, Aman’s contribution in defense has also been significant. He consistently stopped the Raiders with his skills. Left corner specialist Aman played 24 matches for Bengaluru Bulls in the previous season, earning 60 tackle points during this period. He also executed three super tackles. Fans of Bengaluru will once again get to see the duo of Aman and Saurabh.

Yash Hooda – This young player didn’t get a chance to play a single match in the previous season. Yash Hooda plays as a right corner in defense, and Bengaluru Bulls have retained him for the 10th season. Now, the interesting thing to see will be whether he gets the opportunity to play or not.
